About

A crash-detector that parks in gold most of the time, buys the most beaten-down tech/broad ETFs for rebounds when Nasdaq is deeply oversold, and switches to volatility/short-market ETFs when fear becomes intense.
NutHow it works
Default: sit in GLD (gold). When fear rises (UVXY’s “heat” > 65), enter crash mode. - If fear is very hot (>74): use SPXS or UVXY; if extreme (≥84), go UVXY. - If fear isn’t extreme and Nasdaq (QQQ) is washed out (RSI < 30), buy the 2 most beaten-down tech/broad ETFs (mix of leveraged/unleveraged). Else: back to GLD.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 2.92 vs S&P 1.38, Calmar 8.93, alpha 0.62, beta 0.39. Default to gold, then opportunistic rebounds in beaten-down tech and crisis hedges - delivering sharper risk-adjusted upside vs S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
