About
A global stock strategy that owns developed-country market funds and tilts toward the calmer ones, aiming for a smoother ride than simply splitting money evenly.
This strategy spreads money across stock markets in developed countries like Japan, the UK, Canada, Germany, Australia, and the U.S.
Every day, it looks back about 200 trading days and checks which country funds have been bumpier and which have been steadier. It gives bigger positions to the steadier markets and smaller positions to the more erratic ones.
Out-of-sample, this developed-market strategy beats the S&P on risk-adjusted terms: oos Sharpe 1.32 vs 0.99, Calmar 1.51, annualized return 20.45% vs 16.20%, and smaller max drawdown (13.6% vs 18.8%), with positive alpha.
