This strategy looks across 22 stock-market funds from the U.S. and other developed countries, like Canada, Japan, the U.K., and Australia. Every day, it checks which 5 have done the worst over the last 200 trading days (about 10 months), then puts equal money into those 5. So despite the word “momentum” in the name, it is really buying the recent laggards and betting they may bounce back.
