A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

Daily, it buys 1–2 major bank stocks: 30% to the 14‑day top gainer and 70% to the most volatile. A concentrated, high‑turnover bet focused entirely on global banks/financials.
NutHow it works
Each day it scans a fixed list of major bank stocks (JPMorgan, Bank of America, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, plus HSBC, Santander, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, and key US regionals). • 30% goes to the bank that rose the most over the last 14 days (recent top gainer). • 70% goes to the bank with the biggest recent price swings over the last 14 days (most volatile). If it’s the same bank, it holds only that one. Then it repeats the next day.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe ~1.69 vs ~1.30, Calmar ~2.97, and annualized return ~57% vs ~21% for the S&P. A disciplined 1-2 bank-focus strategy blends momentum and volatility for higher risk-adjusted gains and positive alpha.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
