About

A daily-updating blend of big bank stocks: 70% goes to the calmest bank over the last two weeks and 30% to the best recent performer, chosen from major US and European banks. Concentrated sector; frequent trading.
NutHow it works
Each day it looks at a list of major bank stocks (JPMorgan, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, HSBC, Santander, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, and others). It puts 70% into the bank with the calmest recent price (lowest 14‑day ups/downs) and 30% into the best 14‑day gainer. It rebalances daily. Note: it’s concentrated in banks and trades often, which can add costs/taxes.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~59% annualized return with Sharpe 1.72, Calmar 3.08, and max drawdown ~19%. A concentrated bank portfolio blending momentum and stability—potentially higher risk-adjusted gains than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
