About

Daily, rules-based rotation. Holds either: 50/50 T‑bills and gold, QQQ (Nasdaq‑100), or 3× QQQ (TQQQ). It decides using simple recent‑strength checks across preferreds, corporate bonds, tech, and managed futures. TQQQ is high risk.
NutHow it works
RSI = a short-term “recent strength” score (0–100) from ~2 weeks; higher = stronger. Each day it compares pairs and picks one holding: - If preferred-stock funds trail big U.S. stocks: 50% BIL (T‑bills) + 50% GLD (gold). - If preferreds lead but the leveraged one lags: 100% QQQ. - If both preferred tests pass but corporate bonds lag: 100% BIL. - If all pass: if a managed‑futures fund (KMLM) is weaker than Tech (XLK) ⇒ 100% TQQQ; else ⇒ 100% BIL.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: annualized return 37.8% vs 22.8%, Sharpe 2.19 vs 1.90, Calmar 3.89, alpha ~0.295, beta ~0.185. Drawdown higher (~9.7% vs 5.1%), but superior risk-adjusted gains from a tech-driven, rules-based rotation.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
