About

Aggressive, rules-based trend strategy. Rides tech uptrends with 2x Nasdaq (QLD), shifts to a defensive long/short fund (BTAL) when overheated or choppy, and flips short (-2x Nasdaq, QID) in downturns. Daily checks use RSI and moving averages with small bond/commodity overlays.
NutHow it works
Daily rules check trend and “heat” readings to decide where to sit. - RSI: 0–100 heat gauge. High = overheated, low = washed out. - Moving averages: up/down trend lines. If trend is up and not overheated, it owns QLD (2x Nasdaq 100, heavy tech). If things look too hot or choppy, it parks in BTAL (a defensive long/short that holds up when growth stumbles). If trend breaks, it switches to QID (-2x Nasdaq). Small sleeves use bonds, gold, commodities, and the dollar to smooth the ride.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this adaptive trend strategy captured tech upside with built-in risk controls: levered QLD in uptrends, BTAL/QID in downturns, plus bond/gold overlays. A smoother ride with stronger risk-adjusted returns vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
