About

A daily tactical mix that mostly sits in T‑bills unless clear signals appear, then makes short, high‑octane bets on volatility (VXX/SVIX), tech, sectors, or emerging markets using simple “stretched vs trend” rules. High risk, high turnover.
NutHow it works
It’s a set of fast, rule‑based trades. Core idea: use simple signals to decide when to bet on volatility rising (VXX), falling (SVIX), or to sit in cash‑like T‑bills (BIL). RSI is a 0–100 gauge of how fast price has risen or fallen; very high = overheated, very low = washed out. When SPY looks stretched up, it may buy VXX; when it looks washed out, it often shorts vol (SVIX); else BIL. Other sleeves time tech, sectors, and emerging markets using trend and quick filters.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample results are modest/negative vs SPY (≈−1.6% annualized). Yet the strategy offers diversification and downside protection via cash buffers and hedged sleeves that cap drawdowns around 4.5% and provide diversification in volatile markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
