About

Daily sector‑timing in Communication Services using RSI(10) on IXP: buy FCOM when oversold, hold IXP when neutral, and use WEBS (3× inverse internet) when overbought. Tactical and includes leveraged inverse ETF risk.
NutHow it works
Each day it looks at IXP, a global Communication Services ETF (Alphabet, Meta, telecom). It computes a 10‑day RSI, a 0–100 gauge of recent price speed: low=weak, high=hot. If RSI<29, it buys FCOM (US Communication Services) to catch a rebound. If RSI>70, it buys WEBS, a 3× inverse internet ETF, to bet on a pullback. Otherwise it holds IXP. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: 19.56% annualized return vs 18.25% for the S&P; max drawdown 16.83% vs 18.76%; Calmar ~1.16. A disciplined RSI-based Communications Services sector timer with a controlled leveraged leg aims for higher upside and lower risk than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
