About

A daily “switchboard” of market health tests flips between risk‑on (top‑momentum stocks/leveraged index ETFs) and risk‑off (Treasuries, gold, dollar, utilities, commodities, volatility hedges). Selections are momentum‑based; RSI and VIX guard against extremes.
NutHow it works
It watches several “canaries” that hint at market health: S&P trend (50/200 and 20/50 moving averages), Tech vs Utilities, lumber vs gold, bonds vs T‑bills, and inflation‑linked bonds. It also checks RSI (a heat gauge of how fast prices moved) and volatility (VIX). If healthy, it rotates into the strongest stock plays—often 3x index funds (TQQQ/SPXL/UDOW) or top mega‑caps. If weak or jumpy, it shifts to havens like long Treasuries (TMF), gold (UGL/GLD), the US dollar (UUP), utilities (XLU), commodities (DBC/PDBC), or volatility hedges (VIXM/UVXY). It rebalances daily and picks by recent returns.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 32.8% annual return vs 22.2% S&P, with macro canaries and risk-off hedges. Calmar ~1.18 signals solid risk-adjusted gains; a dynamic, diversified momentum strategy targeting bigger upside with controlled risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
