About

A 50/50 tactical portfolio. One sleeve rotates among commodities, bonds, dollar, gold, or cash using long‑term strength and short‑term bargains. The other holds QQQ unless volatility or extremes push it into TLT. Can also short bonds via TBF.
NutHow it works
Split 50/50. Macro sleeve: compares 100‑day “strength scores” (RSI; think 0–100 heat meter) of commodities (DBC), long US bonds (TLT), and the US dollar (UUP). That pick guides a short‑term choice: buy the one that dipped most over ~2 weeks, or use gold (GLD) or T‑bills (BIL); can short bonds via TBF. Stocks sleeve: usually QQQ; switch to TLT when QQQ is too jumpy or very hot; buy QQQ on hard dips.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 25.4% annualized vs 22.2% (S&P); Sharpe 1.83 vs 1.33; max drawdown 12.2% vs 18.8%; Calmar 2.09. A disciplined macro/tech rotation offers higher, smoother returns with better risk control than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
