A quarterly market-timing strategy that uses bonds as a risk signal: it gets aggressive when conditions look good, and shifts into defensive, bearish, dollar, bond, or gold-related funds when conditions worsen.
NutHow it works
Every quarter, the strategy checks whether the broad U.S. bond market (BND) is doing better than very short-term T-bills (BIL). If yes, it goes into aggressive 3x stock funds and picks the 4 that have recently cooled off most. If not, it turns defensive. It then checks long-term Treasuries (TLT) vs T-bills to judge whether interest rates are rising or falling, and shifts into different defensive holdings based on that.

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
