About

Quarterly, it checks if bonds beat T‑bills to choose offense vs defense. Offense buys 4 beaten‑down leveraged growth funds; defense shifts to hedges or safer assets based on the interest‑rate trend. Four variants are blended for robustness.
NutHow it works
Each quarter it splits money across four similar playbooks. 1) Safety test: if broad bonds (BND) beat T‑bills (BIL) over ~60 days, go on offense; else defense. Offense: buy 4 of 6 leveraged funds tied to tech/semis/Nasdaq/S&P, financials or long Treasuries that look most sold off. RSI = a quick up‑vs‑down score. Defense: use long‑Treasury (TLT) trend to judge rates. If rising, hold hedges (inverse stock/bond funds + long US dollar). If falling, hold defensive sectors, Treasuries and some gold.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~49% annualized return vs ~22% SPY, Calmar ~1.11, Sharpe ~1.15. A four-sleeve, quarterly regime-switching strategy aiming higher upside with disciplined risk management - while accepting larger drawdowns vs SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
