About

An aggressive, daily-rebalanced, dip-buy strategy using leveraged Nasdaq exposure with volatility hedges and risk-off protections to navigate bull, bear, and sideways regimes.
NutHow it works
A daily, rule-based system that picks a small set of ETFs/ETNs from a large universe and assigns them weights that sum to 100. It first judges the market regime (bull, bear, or sideways with risk controls). In a bull regime, it leans into growth-oriented, leveraged exposure (primarily Nasdaq-focused 3x ETFs) while keeping some defensive bets. In bear or choppy regimes, it adds hedges (volatility products like UVXY and short-QQQ proxies) and protective positions (Treasuries, gold, and consumer staples) to curb losses. The choice of which assets to buy or hedge is driven by signals such as RSI values, moving-average comparisons, and recent performance (moving-average returns and cumulative returns), with a preference for “top” assets when momentum is favorable and “bottom” when seeking hedged or contrarian protection. The system explicitly avoids certain levers (e.g., avoids FNGU on downtrends) and toggles between “dip-buy” and “bear-market protection” groups, all under a daily rebalance cadence. In short: it’s a complex, regime-aware, dip-buying program with built-in hedges intended to maximize upside in favorable markets while limiting drawdowns in declines, using a mix of leveraged Nasdaq bets, volatility hedges, and defensive positions across a broad ETF universe.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this regime-aware dip-buy strategy targets higher upside, ~28.7% annualized, vs S&P ~16.5%, with built-in volatility hedges and risk-off protections. Strong growth potential with disciplined risk controls—bear markets can bring larger drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
