About

A rules-based, daily strategy that rides tech-led uptrends with 3x ETFs (TQQQ/UPRO/SOXL), buys dips when oversold, and moves to defense (Treasury bills, dollar, gold, UVXY, inverse ETFs) when markets overheat or break down. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
Each day the rules check the market’s state. - If the trend is up and not overheated, it rides tech-heavy US stocks with 3x funds (like TQQQ/UPRO/SOXL). If prices look washed out, it “buys the dip.” - If the trend weakens or prices look too hot, it shifts to defense: short‑term Treasuries (cash‑like), the US dollar, gold, defensive sectors, a small UVXY stake, or even inverse funds (SQQQ/SOXS). - When rates fall, it leans risk‑on; when rates rise, it leans risk‑off.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample return ~50% annually with Sharpe ~0.96 and Calmar ~1.24 vs S&P ~16.8% and Sharpe ~0.84. Tech-led strategy with hedging delivers superior risk-adjusted growth, though drawdowns can be larger.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
