About

Daily, rotate 100% between TLT (long US Treasury bonds) and XLP (consumer‑staples stocks) using a 5‑day RSI “heat” score: buy the one that looks weaker short‑term. Rebalances daily. The many other signals listed are not turned on.
NutHow it works
Each day the model scores two ETFs with a short‑term “heat” gauge called RSI (0–100): TLT = long US Treasury bonds; XLP = consumer‑staples stocks. It buys the one with the lower 5‑day score (the more beaten‑down of the two) and puts 100% there. It rechecks daily. Other listed rules are inactive.
CheckmarkValue prop
Compelling out-of-sample edge: this RSI-based TLT/XLP rotation posts higher risk-adjusted returns than the S&P 500 (OOS Sharpe ~2.93 vs ~2.78), higher annualized return (~45.6% vs ~36%), and smaller max drawdown (~3.6% vs ~5.1%), with modest beta.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
