A simple contrarian strategy: each day, choose between long-term Treasury bonds (TLT) and consumer-staples stocks (XLP), and buy whichever has looked weaker over the last few days.

Despite the long rule set, the active strategy is simple: each day it compares two investments—TLT (long-term U.S. Treasury bonds) and XLP (consumer-staples stocks like food, beverages, and household products). It measures which one has been weaker very recently using RSI, a score of recent price strength. It then puts 100% into the weaker one, betting on a short-term rebound.
