About

A daily, rules‑based switch for the Nasdaq‑100: hedge with VIXY + T‑bills when QQQ is too hot, buy QQQ when it’s washed out, and otherwise flip between QQQ and T‑bills using a simple PSQ‑vs‑Treasuries signal. Mostly tech exposure with defensive fallbacks.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks how “hot” or “cold” QQQ is using a 0–100 speed score (RSI). If QQQ is very hot (>80), it goes defensive: split between a volatility hedge (VIXY) and T‑bills (BIL). If very cold (<30), it buys QQQ. Otherwise it uses a bond/PSQ vs Treasuries check: if fear is fading, buy QQQ; if not, sit in BIL.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this Nasdaq-100 strategy beats the S&P on risk-adjusted return and downside: Sharpe 3.57 vs 2.23; drawdown 3.11% vs 5.07%; annualized return 41.8% vs 27%. It blends momentum with protective hedges.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
