About

A rule-based strategy that makes an aggressive bet on a tech rebound when conditions line up, and otherwise shifts into diversified stock/gold/trend-following funds or short-term Treasuries.
NutHow it works
This strategy splits money between two very similar rule sets, but they usually end up making the same choice. It first asks: is the broad U.S. stock market healthy? It uses SPY (a stand-in for the S&P 500) and compares today’s price to its recent average. If the market looks strong and big tech (QQQ) has just had a sharp pullback, it buys QLD, a fund that roughly doubles the daily moves of the Nasdaq-100. If that setup is not present, it moves to GDE and RSSB, two more diversified funds: GDE mixes stock-market and gold exposure, while RSSB mixes U.S. stocks with trend-following futures strategies. If the market looks especially weak, part of the money can move to BIL, a very short-term Treasury-bill fund that behaves like cash.
CheckmarkValue prop
Offers tactical exposure to tech rebounds via QLD, plus diversified hedges (GDE, RSSB, BIL) with a disciplined rule base. Out-of-sample testing shows solid risk-adjusted resilience and diversification when SPY stalls.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
