About

Rules-based mix that rides stock uptrends but steps aside in selloffs. Core US (NTSX), Tech (XLK), International (VEA), an S&P 500 “Homebase” with safety switches, plus Managed Futures (DBMF). Uses trend and volatility checks; limited, tactical leverage.
NutHow it works
Five sleeves: (1) US core (NTSX), (2) Tech (XLK), (3) International (VEA), (4) an S&P 500‑centric “Homebase” that flips between growth and safety, and (5) Managed Futures (DBMF). It owns growth when prices sit above long‑term averages and volatility is calm. If trends break or volatility jumps, it rotates to cash‑like T‑Bills (BIL), staples (XLP), bonds (TIP/TMF), gold (IAU), the US dollar (UUP), or volatility hedges. Occasional small, rules‑based dip buys.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy shows stronger risk-adjusted growth than the S&P 500: ~39% vs ~23% annualized return, Sharpe ~1.46 vs ~1.44, Calmar ~1.97, with diversified risk controls.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
