About

A daily rules engine that buys tech/S&P/semis (often via 3x funds) on dips, hedges or moves to safe assets when markets overheat or trend lower, and uses bond and junk‑bond signals to switch between growth and defense to target high return with controlled drawdowns.
NutHow it works
Daily, rule‑based. RSI (0–100 heat): >80=too hot → hedge with UVXY. <30=too cold → buy dips in 3x TQQQ/SPXL/SOXL (Nasdaq/S&P/Semis). If trend up (price>200‑day avg), prefer QQQ/SPY/SMH; if down, shift to BIL/SHY (cash/short Treas), GLD (gold), UUP (US$), XLP (staples) or PSQ (short Nasdaq). Often uses 60/40 SPY+bonds; pick TLT vs SHY by bond trend. JNK vs T‑Bills is a ‘canary’ gating risk‑on.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~30% annualized return vs 17% for the S&P, Sharpe ~1.02, Calmar ~1.30. Dynamic hedging and regime-switching aim for higher upside with controlled drawdowns, unlike a buy-and-hold index.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
