About

Tactical, monthly strategy with a market drop “stop.” In uptrends it concentrates about 75% in the 4 strongest large U.S. stocks; otherwise it rotates among defensive/bond/commodity ETFs. In sharp drops, it parks 100% in short‑term Treasuries (SCHO).
NutHow it works
Monthly check. 1) If the S&P 500 (SPY) fell more than 4% over the past 30 days, move everything to short‑term U.S. Treasuries (SCHO). 2) Else, if SPY’s short‑term average price is above its longer‑term average (uptrend), put about 75% into the 4 recent winners from a list of big U.S. stocks, split evenly, and keep ~25% in cash. 3) If no uptrend, split the account evenly across the 3 strongest picks from utilities (XLU), communications (XLC), U.S. bonds (SCHZ), metals/mining (XME), and oil/gas (XOP), using recent performance to choose.
CheckmarkValue prop
Risk-managed monthly strategy: 75% in top four mega-cap momentum stocks in uptrends, 100% to defensives in downtrends, plus a crash-stop to SCHO. Aims to curtail drawdowns and deliver diversification versus SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
