About
Short‑volatility timer: buys SVXY only when semiconductors show stronger short‑term momentum than KMLM and aren’t overheated, after a KMLM pop/drop trigger. Otherwise it parks in T‑Bills (BIL). High risk when in SVXY.
It uses signals from: KMLM (managed-futures), SMH/SOXL (semiconductors). It holds either SVXY (benefits when market volatility falls) or BIL (T‑Bills).
1) If KMLM jumped ~>5% over 20 days OR fell ~>2% over 10 days, continue; else hold BIL.
2) If SMH looks “hotter” than KMLM (RSI: a 0–100 short‑term heat gauge), continue; else BIL.
3) If SOXL’s RSI < 80, buy SVXY; else BIL.
Defensive, regime-filtered strategy: out-of-sample 9.21% annualized return with 8.30% max drawdown and Calmar ~1.11, vs S&P’s 18.6% return and 18.8% drawdown. Lower drawdowns, steadier risk-adjusted gains in calmer markets.
