About

Buys 3× Nasdaq‑100 (TQQQ) during defined dips that haven’t snapped back yet; otherwise parks in short‑term bonds (BSV), with a steady 60/40 bonds/QQQM mix when there’s no dip.
NutHow it works
It watches QQQ, a fund mirroring the Nasdaq‑100 (big tech). If QQQ is down ~4%+ over the last few weeks, that’s a dip. If there hasn’t been a sharp rebound yet (TQQQ, a 3× QQQ fund, isn’t up ~5% most recently), it buys TQQQ (~85%). If a rebound already happened, it holds short‑term bonds (BSV). If there’s no dip, it holds ~60% bonds (BSV) and ~40% low‑fee Nasdaq‑100 (QQQM).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy offers superior risk-adjusted returns vs the S&P: Sharpe 2.08 vs 1.73, drawdown 3.17% vs 5.07%, Calmar 6.13, with ~19.4% annualized return (vs 20.2%). Tactical dip-buying plus bonds deliver less risk and solid upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
