About

Buys a 3x Nasdaq fund (TQQQ) after notable dips in QQQ; avoids chasing sharp rebounds by parking in short‑term bonds if the bounce is already big. Otherwise stays cautious: ~60% bonds, ~40% Nasdaq (QQQM). High risk when in TQQQ.
NutHow it works
What it owns: - QQQ/QQQM: funds that track the Nasdaq‑100 (big tech names). QQQM is the lower‑fee sibling used for holding. - TQQQ: a 3x version of QQQ; it moves about 3x as much (and can drop fast). - BSV: a short‑term US bond fund. Rules: 1) If the Nasdaq‑100 fell ~4%+ in recent weeks, it’s a dip. If TQQQ hasn’t just jumped >5%, buy ~85% TQQQ; if it already jumped >5%, go to bonds (BSV). 2) If no dip, hold ~60% BSV and ~40% QQQM.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted returns vs S&P. Sharpe ~1.91 vs ~1.85, drawdown ~3.17% vs ~5.07%, Calmar ~4.07. A Nasdaq-dip strategy with bond ballast captures Nasdaq upside while limiting losses.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
