About

A daily, risk-managed switcher among 3x S&P 500 (UPRO), short-term Treasuries (SHY), and long-term Treasuries (TLT). Uses a volatility circuit breaker and a simple “heat” check to buy dips in calm markets and hide in bonds when markets get jumpy.
NutHow it works
Each day 15 mini-checks look at recent market calm/jitters and recent “heat.” - If the S&P 500 has been jumpy, hold long-term Treasuries (TLT). - If it’s calm, compare how “hot” stocks vs short-term Treasuries look. If stocks look cooler, buy 3x S&P (UPRO); if hot, sit in SHY. Blend the 15 checks equally.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: risk-managed 3-asset switcher (UPRO/SHY/TLT) targets higher risk-adjusted returns vs SPY. Sharpe ~1.41; ~41.8% annualized vs 22.2%. Expect higher drawdowns in stress; Calmar ~1.09 signals efficiency.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
