About

A 60/40 tactical strategy: 60% rotates among stock market sectors, while 40% runs hedges using bonds, cash, volatility, and inverse funds. It becomes defensive when markets look too hot and sometimes uses leveraged funds when trends are strong.

This strategy splits money into two parts: 60% tries to own the strongest U.S. stock market sector, and 40% runs several defensive side-systems. If sectors look too overheated, it moves to very short-term Treasury bills (BIL). Otherwise it rotates among sectors like technology, financials, health care, energy, and others—sometimes using extra-aggressive leveraged funds. The hedge side trades bonds, cash, volatility funds, and inverse stock funds to cushion market stress.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
