About

A daily, rules‑based strategy that rides strong tech/Nasdaq uptrends with leveraged ETFs, but rapidly flips to hedges, volatility, or cash‑like Treasuries when fear or losses jump. It uses simple signals (RSI, moving averages, drawdown) to keep losses shallow.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks fear, trend, and damage. • Fear: If VIX (volatility) is spiking, it switches to a “black-swan” playbook: volatility funds, short-term Treasuries, or a quick buy‑the‑dip. • Trend: If the market is healthy, it rides tech/Nasdaq using leveraged ETFs (e.g., TQQQ, TECL). If trend weakens, it scales into hedges/shorts (e.g., SQQQ, SOXS). It uses simple cues: RSI (how stretched prices are), moving averages, and recent loss size.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~12% annualized return with positive risk-adjusted metrics (Sharpe ~0.54, Calmar ~0.64) and near-market beta. A rules-based tech-rotation with hedges aims for disciplined, risk-aware growth vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
