About

Rules-based daily strategy that rides tech-led uptrends with leveraged ETFs, but quickly hedges with UVXY/TECS or moves to T‑bills when markets “pop,” overheat, or volatility rises. VIX and bond trends act as brakes until conditions improve.
NutHow it works
Uses ETFs: SPY/QQQ/DIA and 3x versions (SPXL/TQQQ/UDOW), TECL/SOXL (3x tech/semis), UVXY (volatility hedge), BIL (T‑bills), TMF/TMV (3x Treasuries). ~70% rides uptrends, ~30% is a fast “pop” guard. Each day it checks trend, speed of moves, VIX, and bond signals. Calm uptrend: hold leveraged index/tech. Overheated or spiking: buy UVXY/TECS or sit in BIL. Deep drops: buy tech dips or hold TMF/BIL.
CheckmarkValue prop
Outperform SPY on upside: oos return ~24.6% vs ~20.2%, with dynamic hedges and trend-following tech leadership. Note: oos drawdowns can be larger (~33% vs ~19%), but hedges aim to protect during spikes.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
