A very active, high-risk strategy that tries to surf market trends and buy dips in US stocks—especially tech—while moving to bonds, bearish funds, or cash when conditions look dangerous.

This strategy checks the market every day and asks: are stocks calm or jumpy, strong or weak, overheated or beaten down? When conditions look good, it buys aggressive funds tied to the S&P 500, Nasdaq, technology, or semiconductors. When markets look shaky, it may move into long-term Treasury bonds, bet against tech/semiconductors, or hide in short-term Treasury cash (BIL).

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
