About

A daily, switch-hitting plan. In uptrends it either buys biotech dips or the 3 strongest mega‑caps, but hedges with UVXY or SQQQ when things look overheated/whipsaw. In downtrends it favors UVXY/SQQQ/bonds, touching LABU only on deep oversold.
NutHow it works
Daily check: if SPY is above its 200‑day average, it’s risk‑on. Then it: a) buys UVXY when markets look overheated; b) after sharp Nasdaq drops, may short tech (SQQQ); c) else buys biotech on deep dips (LABU) or the 3 best‑performing mega‑caps (last 20 days). If SPY is below the 200‑day, it’s risk‑off and it rotates among UVXY, SQQQ, short‑term bonds (BSV), or LABU when selling looks washed‑out.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: annualized return 46.7% vs S&P 21.1%, Calmar 1.33 (risk-adjusted). A momentum/hedging strategy using biotech and mega-caps to capture upside with disciplined risk management.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
