About

Aggressive, rules-based swing strategy that buys leveraged tech on deep dips, shorts on extreme rips, and otherwise toggles between offense and a hedged dividend/volatility mix using stock–bond and volatility signals. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
It splits money across several rule-driven sleeves. It watches tech-heavy funds (TQQQ, TECL), broad markets (QQQ, SPY), bond funds (AGG, BND, TLT, IEF) and fear gauges (SVXY, UVXY, VIXM). If prices plunge or fear jumps, it shifts into bearish/volatility plays (SQQQ, TECS, UVXY) or a defensive mix (SCHD plus hedges). If prices look washed out (RSI low), it buys 3× tech; if overheated (RSI high), it shorts. When calm, it checks whether bonds are stronger than stocks to choose offense vs defense. Positions are sized by recent volatility.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample drawdown control with regime-switching: max drawdown 11.6% vs SPY 18.8%, Calmar ~1.48, plus a tech tilt that captures upside in dips while hedging spikes—delivering stronger risk management than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
