About
A very aggressive daily trading strategy that swings between bullish tech, bearish tech, and volatility bets based on whether markets look overheated, oversold, or unusually turbulent.
This strategy makes very short-term bets on three things: big tech stocks, market fear, and sudden market reversals.
It checks each day whether the market looks panicky or unusually jumpy. If it does, it switches into a fast tactical mode that may bet against overheated tech or buy a bullish tech fund if prices have recently fallen too hard.
When markets are calmer, it compares bonds, tech, and volatility funds to decide whether to buy tech, hedge with bearish funds, or use products that profit when market fear fades.
Out-of-sample edge: about 20.2% annualized vs 17.0% for the S&P, Sharpe ~1.09, Calmar ~1.27, and max drawdown ~15.9% vs 18.8%. A tech/volatility rotation strategy delivering higher risk-adjusted gains with lower downside than the S&P 500.
