About

Buys a 3× Nasdaq‑100 fund when QQQ dropped >5% in 5 days. If the 3× fund is already spiking (>5% today) or there’s no dip, it parks in short‑term bonds. Checked daily. Very high risk when in TQQQ; otherwise bond‑like.
NutHow it works
Each day the strategy checks QQQ, a fund of Nasdaq‑100 giants (Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, etc.). If QQQ fell over 5% in the last 5 trading days, it tries to buy the dip with TQQQ, a 3× version of QQQ. But if TQQQ already jumped >5% today, it waits in BSV, a short‑term bond fund, for that day. If there’s no dip, it stays in BSV. Rebalanced daily. TQQQ is very high risk and can swing widely.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return: 22.28% vs SPY ~14%; Sharpe ~0.89; Calmar ~0.98; max drawdown ~22.66% (comparable risk). With beta ~0.61, it targets higher risk-adjusted upside and a smoother ride than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
