About

Buys 3× Nasdaq after weekly dips, unless a big one‑day bounce just happened. Otherwise runs a simple risk‑on/risk‑off mix of Treasuries, tech, financials, gold, dollar, and volatility, sized by recent calmness. Uses leveraged ETFs; expect big swings.
NutHow it works
If QQQ (big‑tech index) fell >5% in 5 days, buy TQQQ (a 3× QQQ) to play a rebound—unless TQQQ already jumped >5% today; then use the backup model. Backup model: If QQQ just had a sharp 10‑day drop, hold a mix of GLD (gold), TMF (long Treasuries), UUP (US dollar), UVXY (volatility), and FAS (financials), giving more to the calmer ones. Else, if Treasuries also plunged, stay defensive. Otherwise, go risk‑on with TMF, TQQQ, and FAS, again favoring the steadier one.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: about 28.3% annualized return vs ~22.6% for the S&P, with Calmar ~0.90 and disciplined risk controls. Higher upside, diversified hedges, but larger drawdowns and volatility due to leverage.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
