Buy the Dips Else Not Boring v1.2

A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

A tactical strategy that mostly runs a diversified risk‑on/off core and briefly buys 3x Nasdaq (TQQQ) after sharp 5‑day dips. It sizes positions by recent stability and rotates among tech, financials, Treasuries, gold, the US dollar, and volatility.
NutHow it works
1) Big dip rule: if QQQ (Nasdaq‑100) is down >5% in 5 days, buy TQQQ (3x QQQ). If TQQQ already spiked >5% today, don’t chase; use the core mix. 2) Core (“Not Boring”): flip Risk‑On/Off based on fresh 10‑day drops. Risk‑Off leans to GLD (gold), UUP (US dollar), TMF (3x Treasuries), UVXY (volatility), and FAS (3x financials). Risk‑On leans to TMF, FAS, TQQQ. Inverse‑vol sizing gives more to steadier assets.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~29% annualized return vs SPY ~22.6%, with a dynamic risk-on/off core and opportunistic 3x Nasdaq buys after dips. Diversified hedges (gold, dollar, Treasuries) aim for higher upside with managed risk (drawdowns can be larger).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
