About

A daily “buy the dip” US stock strategy: normally 50% SPY and 50% QQQ. If either is down >10% over the past year, that half shifts into 3× Nasdaq (TQQQ). If both are down, it goes all‑in TQQQ. High potential reward, very high risk.
NutHow it works
Each day it looks at the past 12‑month return of SPY (S&P 500) and QQQ (Nasdaq‑100). For each one: if it’s down more than 10%, that half of the portfolio moves to TQQQ (a fund targeting 3× QQQ’s daily move; very risky). Otherwise it stays in SPY or QQQ. No dip: ~50% SPY/50% QQQ. One dip: ~50% TQQQ/50% the other. Both dips: ~100% TQQQ.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample upside with disciplined risk: ~26% annualized return vs ~22% for the S&P, Sharpe ~1.18 vs ~1.12, and Calmar ~1.52. Dip-driven Nasdaq leverage targets faster rebounds with a diversified core—potentially higher gains than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
