About

Aggressive in healthy markets, defensive when not. Buys 3x stock ETFs unless they look overheated (uses RSI as a short‑term “hot/cold” gauge). If overheated or weak backdrop, moves to a volatility‑hedged Safety Town or to Treasuries (TMF) or the U.S. dollar (UUP).
NutHow it works
Step 1: Check backdrop. If long Treasuries are weak vs trend and stocks beat Utilities, we try to own 3x stock funds (tech/Nasdaq/S&P/Dow). Step 2: Only buy them if a short-term “temperature” (RSI) isn’t too hot vs bonds; else go to “Safety Town,” a mix of VIX funds (SVXY/VIXM) and BTAL that shifts with RSI. If backdrop is weak, hold TMF or UUP.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, the strategy seeks bigger upside (36.17% annualized vs 22.18% S&P) with active risk hedges. Higher returns, but larger drawdowns (~47%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
