About

50% static 90/10 S&P 500/Treasuries. 50% tactical: buys TQQQ when markets look washed out, parks in VGSH when markets are hot or volatility jumps, and otherwise follows the 200‑day trend. Daily rebalanced; can be very aggressive in TQQQ.
NutHow it works
Half is always 90% IVV (S&P 500) + 10% VGSH (short‑term Treasuries). The other half is tactical. RSI = a short‑term heat gauge (low=cold, high=hot). - Washed‑out SMH/QQQ/SPY → TQQQ (3× Nasdaq). - Euphoric readings or a UVXY (volatility) spike → VGSH. - Else: trend check. SPY above 200‑day → 90% IVV/10% VGSH; below → mostly VGSH unless TQQQ is back over its 20‑day. Uses SMH/QQQ/SPY as market thermometers (semis often lead).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~11.8% annualized returns with far smaller drawdowns (~2.8% vs 4.5% for the S&P) and strong risk-adjusted metrics (Calmar ~4.18, Sharpe ~0.93), offering steadier upside versus the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
