About

A daily, trend‑following rotation that toggles between a growth bucket (Bitcoin + high‑beta tech/biotech) and a defensive bucket (Treasuries, gold, commodities). It uses simple trend and “speed” checks to ride winners, hedge excess heat, or sit in T‑bills.
NutHow it works
Each day the portfolio splits into two parts. In each part it picks whichever of two bundles has done better recently: (1) Risk‑On (BTC, tech/biotech) or (2) Defensive (Treasuries, gold, commodities). Inside each bundle it follows trends (via price averages) and a “speedometer” (RSI) to either ride strength, buy dips, or park in T‑bills.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 21.18% annualized return, ~0.96 beta, and a 1.07 Calmar ratio. Trend-rotating risk-on/defensive mix offers diversification and hedges vs. the S&P 500, with drawdowns possibly higher.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
