About

Rules-based, recession-aware playbook. Uses a 200-day trend and RSI to switch between major US stock funds, long Treasuries, leveraged tech bounce trades, or a defensive mix of staples and short-term bonds.
NutHow it works
Trend check: Is the S&P above its 200‑day average (the last ~10 months of prices)? • Yes: own big US stocks. If strength is high (60‑day RSI > 60; RSI is a 0–100 hot/cold gauge), hold 55% long‑term Treasuries and 45% in major index funds. Else, split across S&P, Nasdaq, and Dow. • No: if the Nasdaq is very oversold (10‑day RSI < 31), buy a short‑term bounce via 2x tech/Nasdaq funds; else, split between a defensive basket of consumer‑staple and healthcare companies and a short‑term bond fund.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, the strategy delivers higher long-run gains than the S&P 500 (25.1% vs 23.2%) with a strong risk-adjusted profile (Calmar ~1.31) using a recession-aware, trend-following framework that captures tech upswings and shifts to defense when needed.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
