About

A rule-based bond strategy that flips between 3x long (TMF) or 3x short (TMV) long‑term U.S. Treasuries, or parks in safer bonds (BND/SHV). It adds a VXX hedge when stocks look overheated and may buy 3x tech (TECL) only when deeply oversold. High risk.
NutHow it works
Uses momentum/trend tests and a “heat” score (RSI, 0–100) on bonds and stocks. 1) If SPY/QQQ look extremely hot, hold VXX (a volatility hedge). 2) If long Treasuries lead T‑bills and trend up, buy TMF (3x long) or TLT; if they get too hot, sit in SHV (cash‑like). 3) If Treasuries trend down, buy TMV (3x short) or step down to TLT/BND. 4) Rarely, if tech is washed out (via TQQQ), buy TECL; else hold SHV.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample return ~22.7% vs SPY ~21.9%, propelled by a bond-trend core with hedges (VXX) and selective TECL. Diversified upside in rate regimes; higher drawdowns and a lower risk-adjusted Sharpe.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
