About
A rule-based strategy that mostly chases big tech when conditions look favorable, shifts to defensive staples when the market is stable, buys tech on deep dips, and can bet against the market when conditions worsen.
This strategy splits money into two identical decision “buckets.” Each bucket first checks whether U.S. government bonds look stronger than a fund that rises when big tech falls. If yes, it buys QQQ (big tech/growth stocks).
If not, it gets more defensive: it buys XLP (staples like household goods) when the broad market is in a healthy long-term uptrend; buys XLK (tech) after a sharp tech selloff; otherwise it buys SH, a fund that goes up when the S&P 500 goes down.
A disciplined two-sleeve, rule-based strategy that rotates between QQQ, staples or hedges based on regime signals, with built-in hedging. OOS: ~19% annualized return, Sharpe ~1.06, Calmar ~1.0, max drawdown ~19%, offering upside with risk control vs. S&P 500.
