About
A tactical, high‑risk strategy: ride TQQQ (3x Nasdaq‑100) in uptrends, but flip to SQQQ (inverse Nasdaq), VXX (volatility), or TLT (Treasuries) when markets are overheated, falling, or very volatile. Uses simple trend and “hot/cold” gauges to switch.
Step 1: Check the long-term trend: is SPY above its 200‑day average? If yes, it mostly holds TQQQ (3x Nasdaq‑100). If prices get “too hot” or jumpy, it briefly switches to SQQQ (3x inverse Nasdaq), VXX (VIX futures), or TLT (long Treasuries).
If not in an uptrend, it favors SQQQ/VXX/TLT, but will buy TQQQ on sharp selloffs or rebounds. Signals: RSI (0–100 heat meter), recent % change, 20/200‑day averages, 10‑day volatility.
Out-of-sample edge: ~157% annualized return, Calmar ~6.83, Sharpe ~2.35 vs the S&P. Captures Nasdaq upside (TQQQ) with disciplined hedges (SQQQ/VXX/TLT), aiming for strong upside while keeping drawdowns in check.
