About

Dynamic, signal-driven bets on China and EM using leveraged ETFs (YINN, YANG, EDC, EDZ) with FXI/EM momentum filters and RSI/MA checks to switch between bull and bear positions, plus cash when unsure.
NutHow it works
What you’re investing in: levered ETFs that magnify moves in China and EM. The system watches FXI (China proxy) and uses short-term price changes to pick a bet: if China looks weak today, it often buys YINN (China up 3x); if China has rallied a lot recently, it may buy YANG or EM bear plays (down 3x) or rotate into other EM assets like EDC/EDZ. It also checks momentum signals (like RSI) and moving-average relationships to avoid chasing overbought/overbought conditions. It may invest in EEM or cash depending on signals. There is no fixed calendar rebalancing; actions fire when signals align. Risk controls include limiting exposure, using multiple filters to confirm moves, and the inherent risks of levered products and fast regime changes. Important: this is a high-risk, complex strategy best understood by experienced traders.
CheckmarkValue prop
Seeks large upside in China/EM via levered ETFs, delivering ~49.7% annualized out-of-sample vs SPY's ~33.7%, with Calmar ~2.05. Note: higher drawdowns (~24% vs ~5%). Big upside comes with higher risk; suitable for seasoned investors.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
