About

A tactical swing strategy for China and emerging markets that flips between 3x bull and bear ETFs using recent big moves, “hot/cold” readings (RSI), and the U.S. dollar trend—falling back to plain EM (EEM) when conditions are poor.
NutHow it works
It swings between leveraged China/EM ETFs based on simple rules. - YINN=China up 3x, YANG=China down 3x; EDC=EM up 3x, EDZ=EM down 3x; EEM=plain EM; FXI=China signal; UUP=USD strength. - After huge 5‑day China moves, it plays quick bounces/fades using 1‑day moves. - Otherwise it checks the USD trend and a “hot/cold” score (RSI=how stretched, 0–100) plus short‑ vs long‑term averages (trend) to pick bull or bear pairs. If weak, it parks in EEM. Very volatile.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample EM/China tactical strategy uses leverage with USD filter. Potential upside: ~50% annualized return vs S&P ~33%, with Calmar ~2.05. Be aware of higher drawdowns (~24%) during regime shifts—risk-managed upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
