About

Daily, rules switch between 3x stock funds (UPRO/TQQQ), 3x Treasuries (TMF), cash‑like T‑bills (BIL), and at times VXX/TECL/SOXL. It rides trends when calm, buys sharp dips, and steps aside or hedges when fear spikes.
NutHow it works
It rotates daily among a few funds: UPRO=3x S&P 500, TQQQ=3x Nasdaq‑100, TMF=3x long Treasuries, BIL=T‑bills (cash‑like); sometimes VXX (fear), TECL/SOXL (3x tech/semis). It: 1) Rides trends when markets are calm (more in the steadier of UPRO/TQQQ, often with TMF). 2) Buys sharp weekly dips (~−5%) in SPY/QQQ, unless a big bounce just happened (then wait in BIL). 3) If fear spikes or tech weakens, cuts risk to BIL or briefly hedges with VXX/TECS.
CheckmarkValue prop
Outperforms the S&P on upside: oos annualized return 50.8% vs 22.5%; Sharpe ~1.36, Calmar ~1.28. Accept higher drawdowns (~39.8%) for big upside and risk-managed dips/hedges that aim to protect in turmoil.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
