About

A daily, rules‑based blend: half a cautious trend/dip‑buyer in 3x S&P/Nasdaq/Treasuries, half a “pop” engine that hedges after surges or buys tech after sharp drops. Many risk filters; defaults to T‑bills (BIL) when conditions are poor. No K‑1 funds.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks: is the market calm and trending, selling off hard, or overheated? In calm uptrends it runs a 3x stock/3x bond barbell (UPRO/TQQQ + TMF). On sharp drops it buys the dip in 3x S&P/Nasdaq, but avoids chasing big up days. When readings look extreme (RSI/VIX), it briefly hedges (VXX/TECS) or mean‑reverts (TECL). If signals are poor, it sits in T‑bills (BIL).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~52% vs SPY ~23%, with Sharpe ~1.38 and Calmar ~1.30. Strong upside, plus active hedging and a cash sleeve to curb losses—though bear markets can bring larger drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
