About

Half rides market trends with built‑in hedges (dollar, gold, crash hedge) and can go defensive or short in downtrends. The other half “surfs” a few funds, buying what’s recently cooled off. Signals use trend, short‑term heat (RSI), and drawdown to manage risk.
NutHow it works
Split 50/50 between two rule-sets; only rebalance if that split drifts a lot. 1) Total Market Hedged: In uptrends (price above 200‑day avg), ride QQQ/TQQQ (tech‑heavy). If things look “hot” or choppy (RSI, big drops), park in UUP (US dollar) and GLD (gold). In downtrends, rotate to PSQ/SH or SQQQ and short‑term bonds. Briefly use UVXY when crash risk spikes. 2) Fund Surfing: When fear is low, buy the most “rested” of SPY, UPRO, TECL, SOXL, SHY. When fear is high, flip between TMF/TMV (3x long/short 20‑yr Treasuries) or add commodities (DBC, DBA). RSI = 0–100 “heat” gauge (high=hot, low=cold).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annual return ~49% vs S&P ~23%. Built-in hedges (dollar, gold, crash hedge) and adaptive splits ride uptrends while defensively protecting in downturns. Higher upside, but bigger drawdowns; risk-managed.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
