About

A 50/50 blend that rides tech‑led uptrends but adds dollar/gold or volatility hedges when overheated, flips to inverse funds or bonds in selloffs, and “surfs” dips across select funds—aiming for equity growth with drawdown control.
NutHow it works
50/50 blend: Half = Total Market Hedged; Half = Fund Surfing. RSI (0–100 heat gauge); 200‑day avg = trend. Hedged: Uptrends → QQQ/TQQQ. If too hot or shaky → UUP (US$), GLD (gold) or UVXY (vol). Downtrends → PSQ/SH/SQQQ (inverse) or BSV/SHY (short‑term bonds). Surfing: Calm markets → buy the most beaten‑down fund; Vol spikes → switch to TMF/TMV (long/short 20‑yr Treasuries), sometimes DBC/DBA (commodities).
CheckmarkValue prop
Two-sleeve, rules-based plan: ride tech uptrends with hedges and dip-buy in calm periods. Out-of-sample: ~49% annualized return vs ~23% for SPY; higher growth potential in favorable markets, but expect larger drawdowns in stress.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
